Depression Track — 2026 Season

Updated: 07 Apr 2026

About Depression Tracks

A depression is a low-pressure weather system that forms over warm ocean waters, typically the Bay of Bengal or the Arabian Sea. As it intensifies it may develop into a deep depression, a cyclonic storm, or a super cyclonic storm. These systems can bring heavy rainfall, strong winds, and flooding to Pakistan and the surrounding region.

The Flood Forecasting Division (FFD) monitors all active low-pressure systems during the flood season (15 June – 15 October). Track maps are produced using ArcGIS and show the observed and forecast path of the system.

Update frequency: Track maps and system details are updated daily during the flood season whenever an active system is present. Outside the flood season this page reflects the last recorded system of that year.
